I can't get the webroot toolbar istalled

I have tried repeatedly to install the webroot toolbar.  It's now on my firefox toolbar but i can't get webroot to fill in my stored passwords when I go to a website. Should I uninstall my software and start over? Also, when I click on the password icon on the site I get an error message that says to come back in 5 minutes.  I've already had a Geek Squad guy take over my computer to fix this and it didn't work.  I am getting frustrated and disgusted with this product; I was urged to buy this when I bought my new laptop.  I previously used Norton security and had no problelms.

Hi drchef

Welcome to the Community Forums.

I have not heard of this happening before but to try to resolve it you can try running the Toolbarfix tool.  You can download it for here.

Running it shoudl effectively validate the Firefox installation and if necessary redo but also will also look to install for any other supported browser that you may have installed on your system.

Note: This will not work in Microsoft Edge. Webroot is currently working on a fix for this. Here is a KB article about this HERE

Once downloaded launch it by clicking on the executable, and you should see the following, if then that is fine and you should click on 'Run':

which should then take you to the following dialog:

on which you should choose/check the option 'Repair/Install the Webroot Toolbar' and then press 'Start'.

That should initiate the fix process and you just have to wait for it to finish, close the dialog and then check in your browser to see if the Password Manager Toolbar icon is now visible.  If the fix has been successful you should see the following greyed out icon in a toolbar at the top of the IE browser page:

One then double clicks on that so that the login dialog is presented, etc.

Please check the above out and come back if anything is not clear or if it does not help/respond to your query. What I am hoping is that any issue with the installation of the toolbar in the past will be resolved by this toolbarfix tool.

Regards, Baldrick
