I recived an email form cox communications (my provider and the email is legit) stating my pc was comprimised with zeus botnet. I have scanned with webroot secure anyware several times and nothing found. I don't know if I have a problem that is undetected. Is secure anyware able to locate this infection? Should I do something else? I am very concerned and not a skilled teche. Additionally I have scanned with free malwarebytes, microsoft safety scanner, and mcafee stinger. Nothing was found. Help.
Thank You
Hello ?,
I would advise contacting our support team so they can gather the necessary logs and investigate. The Zeus botnet is incredibly old, and does not have any new variants so Webroot, as well as all the other AVs should detect it.
Are you positive that the email is legitimate?
Please contact support and they can look into this for you.
