Hi

When I opened Chrome tonight, I had a pop up that said about enabling this extension. I did not enable it as I didn't know what it was.

I now see this is something I should enable but I can not see any way to actually enable this now I missed the pop up.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

 • Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
 • Select Tools.
 • Select Extensions.
 • On the Extensions page, unselect the "Enabled" checkbox for the extension you'd like to temporarily remove.
Go back to your list of extensions at any time to re-enable disabled extensions. You may need to refresh the page in order to use extensions that you've re-enabled.

Thanks, but there is no webroot extension in the extensions list.
Hi, thanks for that...tried the uninstall/reboot/reinstall but still no extension within Chrome to enable.

Guess I'll just have to wait and hope it pops up again!
Has anyone figured out a solution to this yet? I made the same mistake yesterday and because chrome deletes extensions in this situation rather than disabling them I can't simply re-enable it. Is there anywa way to just download the extension installation or have webroot try to instlal it again?

Hello ecrihfield and welcome to the Webroot Community!

It seems to be a problem within the Chrome platform itself.  Recently, I manually removed WSA as well as all extentions from IE 10, Firefox and Chrome.

After a reboot, I reinstalled WSA.  The extensions happily reinstalled into IE and Firefox, but nothing I did could get Chrome to realize that it needs the extension as well.

After much ado, I tried the simple solution: uninstall Chrome, reboot, reinstall Chrome.  Fixed.

Give it a try and let us know if it works!
