I am in need of some assistance. Webroot detected an active process to handle leak (desktop.exe). I have already ran the analyzer, scanned my computer and restarted it and I am still getting this message. How do I fix it?

Hello @jandt68

Just take System Analyzer results with a grain of salt as it’s only a basic tool and there’s nothing you can do when it shows handle leaks such as desktop.exe or any other leaks. Have a look at many threads about this: https://community.webroot.com/search?q=System+Analyzer

HTH,

Translated to plain English:

  1. not a “grain” of salt but a bucket of salt 😨
  2. System Analyzer is rubbish (though Webroot’s integrated suite of antimalware processes, otherwise known as Webroot SecureAnywhere, definitely isn’t — quite the contrary!)
