I found this fix in your forum, and tried it, but it’s not working. I’d like to uninstall Webroot and reinstall it, like the post says, but I can’t … I can’t find it in Control Panel » Programs & Features to uninstall it - it’s missing from there! I have found a issue with re-installing on a machine with our WRData directory present which causes this issue. I have made development aware and they are investigating. There are ways to fix it in the meantime though. Fist I have developed a program that will attempt to repair this. Please download and run the following:http://download.webroot.com/WRShellFix.exe If after running this it says its replaced it, try and see if the context menu options show (a reboot should NOT be required). If it says it has disabled the context menu run the program again to try to replace it. If this still fails then it is definitely the WRData directory getting in the way. You will need to do the following: 1. Uninstall Webroot 2. Reboot the machine 3.
On the PC security tab, I get to see 3 PCs. Two are active , the third one needs to be deactivated. My problem is that on clicking on the PC that needs to be deactivated, I do not have the Command Option. I have only About and Scan Information. This is not just the PC to be deactivated. This is holding good all 3 PCs. On checking the account set up I noted that PC Security Console is set to ‘Basic’. How to change this to get the Command option. Thank you,
Started in January 2020, when I tried to login to my account to add new phone, and laptop. I could not login to my account, as it rejected the password. I tried to use the password reset. No email. Put in a customer support request, and got automated answer to rest password though the password rest process. Put in a support ticket, then waited for a response. Forgot about it, for over 4 months since I already took care of phone and laptop using different products., Now the end of May, I started getting renewal notices. I went back to my requests from January, and no results. I did not get a response from my tickets. So waiting 48 hours might not be the solution. I started trying again the first of June 2020, and still nothing. Tried multiple attempts, still no response. Gave a scathing review, with a response to “sign on to my account and contact support, or create a ticket! Smart TV, phone call saying they are Telstra and someone has hacked me that"s why my Netflix can't connect even though my ADSL internect connection is OK?
I got the phone call about 20 minutes after having repeatedly tried to connect to Netflix unsuccessfully, even though the Smart TV said my internet connection was fine?? It was a recorded voice telling me to press one to get a technician, I didn’t. Using my HDMI cable and Telstra Tbox I still have from before I had bought the Smart TV for now. That is working fine is it the TV stuffing up or has someone hacked it??
Hello, on my account I can have 3 devices. There are 2 devices and a PC listed. The account has a check by all devices (protected) , but the keycodes are identical. What is up with that? I would like to add a device but don’t know how to proceed. There is no indication of what device is associated with a key code. What a mess. Thanks, Angelo
I installed and used webroot and was satisfied with the services. However, when the program expired and it came time to renew, I made the decision to NOT renew the service and go with another AntiVirus program. I received annoying notifications from Webroot every day, which I would have to go manually close out of and enter in a password and a security key just to close the notification. I have unsuccessfully tried to uninstall the program entirely. IT WILL NOT UNINSTALL. I have deleted all the files in the hardrive there is no trace of Webroot in my hardrive yet still the program sends notifications and is still on my PC trying to run. YOU CANNOT UNINSTALL AND DELETE WEBROOT. I cannot run another protection program because WEBROOT IS STILL ON MY PC AND WILL NOT GO AWAY. Hi, I recently uninstalled webroot, to fix an issue with my PC (with the intention of reinstalling it). I have a 5 PC yearly subscription and I am the admin. After uninstalling from my PC and deleted it from my webroot console (leaving the other 4 subscriptions running). I followed the instruction to re-install it as the 5th PC. The download and installation and initial scan worked fine .. however, this installation is not showing on my webroot console and the browser extension is also not showing! My Webroot console still shows that I only have 4 PC’s activated and I can still add the 5th PC! I uninstalled and reinstalled several times .. the webroot console doesn’t recognize/register the installation and still no browser extension. However, the wbroot icon is showing on my taskbar and the scan seems to work. Thanks for any help.
I thought I came across an option to disable webroot for a set period of time. I.E. for 10 minutes, 1 hour. If not it would be useful. Sometimes when installing something it needs to be off and I have a game I play that needs it to be off. But I always seem to forget to turn it back on so on option to auto turn on after a set period of time would be nice.
Yes, the address that this message was attributed to was in Toronto, but I usually don’t pay my subscription in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Hello, Just reformatted my computer and when I installed Spysweeper with Antivirus, it told me there was an upgrade available. I upgraded, and now it looks like two separate programs are running: Webroot SecureAnywhere, and Webroot AntiVirus with Spy Sweeper. Is this normal? thanks iosman
All of a sudden, I am unable to log into WI Security app on both my I phone and iMac despite entering the correct username and password. I just bought the app last week and performance was sketchy at best...it kept shutting off and either would not allow me to connect to the internet or timed out. Im very disappointed with my purchase and I paid top dollar $60 for access on 5 devices. No one in my family wants to use use it because of these issues. I,ve spent way too much time fiddled around with Webroots applications.
