Good afternoon,I just installed Webroot secure anywhere to my new MacBook. I switched from windows based system. I get message on home page,Subscription: account not activatedI sign in to my account it shows I have over 150 days left until renewal. Is this normal for Macs or is there a way to fix it so it shows it is active? thank you in advance George Capraun
Pretty clear up top, but we’re seeing a lot of customers with Webroot (we sell/support) on Mojave and higher having the same ongoing/reoccuring issues:False positives Scans forever Constant “component installer failure” after startup System Analyzer component crashes (Big Sur) when run as a secondary applet via LMI connection And a general Compatibility update for M1 platform would be niceIDK what our Inter-Company IT has tool wise, nor what interactions they’ve had with WR itself, but from a Front Line standpoint, it’s too common at this point. Even on my own device testing, I run into the same types of issues. It seems like there are More issues as you go from older to newer OS. Even after messing around with permissions and such. I’ve seen links for different versions and it would be good to know if we need to be advising certain versions based on the OS or if there are any different steps (from the listed installation process) that may need to be used.
The full system scan will run for hours at 99% CPU usage without completing a scan. I have left the scan running for 100+ hours, the furthest the scan will make it is about halfway. The system has a 256gb drive, I have stopped Time machine and rebooted the system before running the scan. Webroot has a message saying that a threat was detected but has not found a threat while running the scan. Webroot Endpoint Protection CE 21.3.
Just loaded MacOS Big Sur on my MacBook pro. Webroot picked up 2 files they said were “user added” threats.I don’t remember loading anything besides the new OS, but I might have unintentionally clicked on some malware. The 2 files are: /usr/libexec/runningboardd and /usr/libexec/mdmclient.Anyone know if I can remove these files without creating another problem?
I finally got WSA to install on my MacBook Pro after the Big Sur update, but now it doesn't show up in the PC Security section of the dashboard. I have deactivated all devices that no longer use WSA (in fact, that was the solution to finally getting the install to run on the Mac) and I have plenty of room for more, but only my Windows laptops show up. The Mac is nowhere to be seen, even after running several scans. Is this just another glitch with Big Sur?
I am using a Mac desktop running OS X Catalina. Webroot Secure Anywhere. The last time I ran System Anlalizer I got the following message: Software: High amount of RAM used by processes using more than 250MBi Large number of open files (more than 2500 open files)How do I find these open files and close themThanks,Msweenyst11
Hello, macOS Big Sur 11 (20A5395g)I have installed SecureAnywhere 18.104.22.168:1520 for the first time. I’ve selected “unmanaged” within the web panel to allow full option control via the app.Advanced » ‘Scan Mounted Drives’ is Not selected. As the “View Scan” » ‘Scan Window’ does not show the full path of the current scan, I’ve been watching the progress and can identify from the last few characters of the squashed file path, that it’s remote mounted volumes. The scan is into the 8+ hours already and showing no signs of ever completing due to the number of files available on my mounted volumes. How do I stop mounted volumes from being scanned? How do I see a proper full path of the current files being scanned?Thank you.
My webroot has recently been bugging out says I’m not subscribed even though my license is valid through 2022. When I check my account status is says “Waiting for license.” I uninstalled and redownloaded webroot through the management console but upon installation the app just doesn’t work at all. When I open webroot it shows up on the dock bar below but there’s no home screen or anything. What gives?
MAC OS YosemiteWill not scan. FIRST SCAN NOT COMPLETEResults: Scan failed. Secure Anywhere cannot reach the Internet (but there is nothing wrong with the connection and I can connect to Community like right now thru WR SA.I put in a ticket yesterday - crickets.I’ve had an account for years and suddenly out of the blue having these issues after RENEWING.It says all good but obviously not. Not clear I want to uninstall unless I absolutely need to.Any advice?CL
Just bought a new Mac, and am trying to download so I can activate the new laptop. I followed the download instructions, got the wsampac.dmg folder, dragged it to my applications. The Icon is now on my doc and in my applications folder. Single or double clicking from the dock does nothing (it blips a little). Double clicking from the finder/applications folder does nothing. Support isn’t open until Monday, and I have a lovely unprotected new MacBook Air I can’t use. I have space in my account for another computer, and an activated key code that’s good until March 2022.I have uninstalled it three times, closed all windows, restarted my Mac. :( I have opened a support ticket.
I have been using Webroot security for almost a year now and it never gave me any issues. While 2 days back I installed cleanmymacx and since then Webroot is acting like crazy. Although I uninstalled cleanmymacx but the virus scanning on my Mac becomes really slow. The complete scan which Webroot usually do within 3 minutes before cleanmymacx, now it is taking like forever. Please guide me as what to do in this regards. I already have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Webroot but it didn’t help. ThanksAdnan
Every time I log onto my Mac WSA console comes up red and says a threat is detected. After scans no threat is noted. on the console it states that subscription is not activated but when I go to my account it says active. I’m getting tired of WSA scanning my computer every time I get on it.
