I'm Eduardo, I was using my iphone to get into the internet, and it locked up, a window said "Safari has a problem and information of iphone is compromissed-call this number 1800 447 8361" I called and a person said they could correct that, asked me to connect my iphone to my computer and open a website where he could see my iphone, I did, he made a presentation where problem was, asked my zip code, i gave it and told me to take my computer to a place and they will eliminate the problem, he loaded a AA.BAT file in my desktop, and told me will cost $340. At this point it down on me, this is not correct, I double clicked on *.bat file, flickered file for a while and the guy on the line got upset for what I did and hang up. No serious service will do that, neither charge you. When I went to open my online banking, Chrome indicated my connection might not be secure, but Webroot, did not warned me or set off an alarm. Is there any way to detect how to correct this?, what a
I have a recurring problem. At random times, I'll see a line of circles, just smaller than a dime, in a vertical line about 4" from the left side of the screen. When they appear, my cursor seems to be drawn to the "search the web and Windows" button at the lower left of the screen, AND, various windows or tabs will start up by themselves. Sometimes I can close the all, sometimes I can not, and have to turn off my computer by holding the power button until it shuts down. Sometimes, If I do nothing and wait for it to stop, it will, and I can continue with what I wanted to do with no ill effects. Sometimes, I can't even get past the first lock screen to log on. Question for all of you.... Has anyone seen this particular problem? How did you get rid of it? It's a fairly new computer, and when I do a scan with Webroot, it finds nothing. My son sugggested it was a hardware problem, but I'm thinking software.&nb

Hello. I am just about to install my trial version of Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete. I have been using Norton for years (actually NIS), but I am no more happy with it. Last year I tried Bitdefender and Kaspersky, but I had some problems with them, so I stuck with Norton. All these AV's are incompatible with each other and require careful uninstallation of the competing product before installing. I am thus surprised that WSA doesn't care about the presence of other AV programs and that you don't recommend uninstalling other 3rd party security programs. Isn't it? Even if WSA is compatible with them, what is the purpose of having 2 (or more?!) AV programs installed? In any case, given that I intend to use only one AV, possibly WSA, if it will confirm to be light but nevertheless effective, as you claim, what is the best way to proceed? Install WSA and uninstall NIS later or vice versa? Thanks to whom of you may help. Best regards, --- Glauco
Technically, I'm merely okay. I've started getting many underlined phrases in sites I visit that want to redirect me. Often, just by clicking on a chat group to contribute, I get redirected to a stupid survey, Quibids, etc. What can I do? It's only on my PC, not on my laptop. Thanks in advamce, Mac
