The issue of the backup/sync function not working correctly on Windows 10 is addressed in several posts.I have been having this issue for at least 3 years on multiple computers. I am occasionally able to get it to work. Going thru the Support system multiple times has been fruitless and frustrating. This is an issue that is not a priority for Webroot. It was suggested to me that I use Carbonite. Why are they advertising the backup/sync on the sales page when it doesn’t consistently work? They need to fix this issue or remove backup/sync from the product. This used to be a great feature that was a major part of my decision to use Webroot. I am now considering a different product. I have been a loyal Webroot user for several years and kept hoping they would fix the issue. I get it that their main product is security. But their lack of dealing with a persistent problem in a part of the product package causes me to question the integrity of the whole product.
Renewing Webroot, I am told the fee is $39. Nowhere on the checkout page does it say this is USD. I am in Australia, so my card gets charged $59. To me this means one of two things. It’s either deceptive practice, as displaying the actual amount in the currency of the user would be a higher amount, which the company seemingly wants to avoid despite being the honest thing to do. Or, at the very least, it’s simply disrespectful. Is Webroot intended only for U.S. customers? If not, why not have the courtesy to display the amount in the user’s currency (as many respectful businesses do), or at least have the courtesy to state the currency of the displayed fee. Or do they think the whole world revolves around the U.S., and feel no need to think otherwise? I previously contacted support about this issue, and received a canned and completely inadequate response, so just to make things worse, the claims of good customer service are apparently empty claims.
Hi I'm Davide and i have question: I have configured some endpoints with a 3-hour polling interval, but in console I see that the column "last seen" are updated more often, about every 20/30 minutes. I tried 1 day as interval, with same result. I guess it's normal but in this case does the polling interval indicate the maximum connection time? Or endpoint connects randomly within the polling interval configured? Thank you
In March 2018, my old computer died and I had to purchase a new one. I went to Bestbuy and purchased a new computer. With the purchase and year support to Geeksquad, came a 6 mo and a 1 year subscription to Webroot. I had informed Geeksquad that I already had a subscription to Webroot that did not expire until September 2018 and I would like to have that one installed on my new computer. Instead of installing my current subscription, someone inactivated it and installed the ones for 6 months and a year. Not knowing this, I was charged the yearly subscription fee in August 8, 2018. Due to what Geeksquad did, I paid for something I didn't have and the Webroot they installed will be up on March 22, 2019. Since I am going to have to renew in March, I would like to request a refund for the one that was inactivated in March of last year and I was charged for in August 2018. Here are the details of the charge: My name is Julia Eschbach, date of charge was August 8, 2018, Ref# ~snip~, A
when i try to download any document in my Gmail i get "gmail virus scanners are temporarily unavailable" i ran my Webroot scan it cleared my computer rebooted the computer emptied my trash my mac has the latest Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6 is this a gmail issue or in my computer? any suggestions?
Here’s the issue: I no longer use Webroot. I have a new provider. The reason you ask? In 2021 I paid for the Webroot protection through Best Buy. I went to the store and verified that fact. Every time I logged in on my desktop, I would see a reminder telling me I no longer had protection. I spoke to the Geek Squad and they wrote down a link for me to use. It didn’t work, so in 2022 I got a new provider. I uninstalled Webroot, but I still get reminders every day, sometimes more than one. I just want the reminders to stop. Any suggestions?Thank you for your time.Cheryl
A friend of mine is receiving emails say they are from me and it displays my name but the email address next to my name in <> is someone else &, it changes with each new email. The message is always different and the link it tries to get her to click is different accept for the link suffix always ends with .info. How can we stop this? Thank you, Terry
Where can I go to verify whether or not Webroot detects the current Wannacry malware? I've tried checking the kb and blog but no info. You'd think with this being a global news story, Webroot would have published something specifically on this by now?
Attempting to install new webroot license for 6 devices on a laptop that has an expired webroot software already on it. The install is coming from a webroot email to install on other devices. So, after clicking the link in the webroot email, selecting download to load webroot, it does not take you to input the key screen. Instead it takes you to a screen that says you already have webrrot and it is expired and you need to renew now with a price to buy another license. I do not want to do this. How do you get around this? Do you have to completely delete the expired version of webroot off the other computer and then attempt the download again? That seems not efficient. There should be a seamless handshake to do this. Can someone help me please? Thank you.
Renewal was due, and the email received wanted to charge me full price. I found a cheaper deal, and activated the keycode on my control panel. However, Webroot are still trying to charge me for the automatic renewal (my bank blocked it) and sending me warning emails that I need to renew. I've tried using the contact support on this website, I enter my email address and hit continue, it then says "we have already had contact with -my email address-" "Please enter your password below if you wish to continue with your previous conversation. Your password will have been previously emailed to you." I enter in my password, and it just stays on that screen. I know my password is correct as I can still use the console on the website. I've no idea why it says they've already had contact either, as I've not spoken with support for at least a couple of years.
This has been happening since I tried to create the new Last Pass password hijacker, I mean manager. Will this be amended ? The blasted last Pass server, when you DO get on won't process the transfer due to memory issues ? 12.0 GB not good enough ?
Have Webroot SecureAnywhere - Internet Security Plus and Firefox 61.0.2 (64-bit) for a browser because there hasn't been a fix yet for the Password Manager that works in Firefox. Yesterday both my wife and I could log-in and access our sites and passwords just fine. Today it goes yellow and says 'An error occurred while attempting to contact the server. Please check your Internet Connection.' I am able to log-in to the Community and my.webrootanywhere.com using their log-ins with no problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
By the way when is Webroot going to fix the Firefox Password Manager Tool Bar so we can upgrade to the latest Firefox!?!? We have only 57 days left on this subscription. Just sayin'.
I have 5 different sites all with the same issue. Hyper-V 2008R2 Guest RDP users start to get a black screen and then get disconnected.(slowly over 15 minutes not all at once) all new RDP connections are rejected as if the server is offline. Local Console goes black/unresponsive - Forced to hard reboot server to gain access again.
When I log in to my laptop, I get a message asking me for admin permission in order to delete the folder named "OS". Other than the fact that I haven't explicitly tried to delete anything, "OS" is the volume name of my C: drive. What is attempting to delete "OS" and why? My Webroot scans are coming up clean. Trying to run Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 which has run on Windows 10 in the past. Now I receive an error message, "Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display drivers and start again." I have updated my video card drivers and followed recommendations from other Forums but still cannot get the program to run. One of the suggestions I read mentioned blocks by security software. My question is, does Webroot block the running of Adobe Premiere Pro CS6?
