I first became aware of Webroot over a year ago when I signed up for it through Best Buy when I had them do work on my desktop computer. Then when I was trying to get some files back and called Carbonite to help me, they said that they now owned Webroot. So I signed up for it through them. I saw something on my computer that said the last check up was 20 days ago so I wonder if it is even working? I am not real computer smart so can’t find my account that tells me what I have and how many years I have it. (Should be 3 years). Hope this all makes sense.
We have run the KnowBe4 Ransim v1.1 simulation and found that WSA has trouble protecting against this quite useful ransomware test simulation. This is an updated version of the test that did pass according to previous Webroot testers. I’ve had WR Complete installed on 3 laptops for the past year and each is set to expire in 4 days. I just bought a “download” renewal subscription that I thought would provide a new keycode. Instead it only provides a link to the wsinstall.exe installation app which, when clicked on, only opens my currently-installed Webroot app..How do I find my new keycode?Thanks,
Well I just bought this internet security for my laptop and phone. I've followed all of the instructions, clicked all of the internet links provided by email, filled out the form to register and create an account... but for the life of me... it keeps kicking me out and saying that my email is not yet confirmed; and, it won't let me log in after i created the account. Hmmmmmm! I'm confused here ya'll. Same thing happened when I did what the paper said to do to download and activate on my phone. WTH??? I don't get it! I'm a 52 yr "young" Lady, and i know how to follow directions. I mean come on... anybody else have this issue and know how to rectify it? Sincerely frustrated, Mrs. Cheyenne Mass
How can I get agent commands to execute? Webroot has quarantined a critical application for one of my users. I've gone in and restored it from quarantine but the application still won't run and it appears that Webroot is continuing to interfere with it. I have added an Override and also tried to go into Agent Commands, Idnentity Shield and Allow the application. My user is calling me evern 2 minutes demanding that I either make it work or take Webroot off their machine. I've tried to use Agent Commands to Consider all items good, remove password protection (so I can try to disable their client) but nothing seems to be working. When I view commands selected for endpoint I see a series of commenads lined up that say Not yet received. Our policy sets polling interval to 15 minutes. I have asked the user to refresh configuraiton multiple times and reboot. Nothing seems to work. How can I get these commands to exe
Hi everyone, so this might be completely wrong to ask. But i manage around 400 - 500 POS clients, all using Webroot. However, we've noticed that alot of these machines gets "Random freezes" at bootup, as soon as windows starts and logins the system more or less freezes as soon as you try to do something, could be open up Control Panel, go trough your Files in the explorer. It always ends up with our cashiers having to hold in the power button and restart the machine, and sometimes it takes 3 - 5 reboots until it works, in worst case scenarios we have to install new machines.. We have around 60 - 70 POS units in another country not using WSUS & Webroot and they are working fine. Typing here hoping anyone has a clue what it is, only thing we've done is installed Webroot & installed WSUS Updates. I have another account, (Snip) Ever since y’all included Carbonite, I have had nothing but issues with my passwords and my dashboard. NOW I am LOCKED out of my Webroot and can’t get in there. It even changed my password to the community board. I have tried the “Forgot Password” a few times and now it doesn’t even respond, probably thinking I’m someone else trying to hack into my account. I posted the following on another tech forum: I have my business email on GMail. I use 2-factor authentication for access to said business email. I access my business email from 2 computers and 1 mobile Android device. I do not use Outlook or any email client I access it solely through the web browser. I run Webroot AV on both computers and have run MalwareBytes, Hitman Pro and Sophos Virus Removal tool with 0 hits on all.Yesterday, spoofed emails of my business email account originating from all over the world were sent out to my customers with an attached, password protected file that was a virus. In itself this is not unusual, however, each of the emails was a actual reply from a valid email I had received previously. I immediately looked at my google account settings and verified 2-factor auth, I looked at the devices that were using my email and could verify each one. I could find no proof that someone had gained access to my email other than myself.Does anyone have any suggestion
I am not sure I am missing something, but why is an endpoint entry determined by either the id generated based off of the hardware and sofware? Why isn't there a single unique ID generated irrespective of the operating system or hardware? I feel the majority of duplicates happen because either the hardware changed for an endpoint or the operating system was significantly updated. I understand that you need to differentiate between machines for licensing, but it's interesting that the base for the generation of id's chosen aren't the most stable elements.
when i start computer, webroot says scan required, iam using webroot from many years, still it says no scan done…all protections such as realtime shield, web shield, firewall are turned off when this happens..…also browser plugins are also not working, i tried reinstall also keeping in mind clean installit does not work
We just started installing a bunch of new Dell Win10 Pro PCs and HP Win 10 Pro laptops for an existing customer that is already on WRSA. We are not seeing any of these systems showing the Webroot extension in Chrome. Usually the first time we launch Chrome the user will see a notification about the extension for them to activate. That is not happening and we are not seeing it in the list of extensions in Chrome. This has been working fine on all of their existing Win7 Pro systems. The version of WRSA that was deployed on these new systems is 126.96.36.199.
