Hello All! I just purchased a 3-pc license for WSA Antivirus yesterday. I will be running it on a 64-bit Windows 8 laptop, a 64-bit Vista desktop, and a 32-bit Vista laptop. I have a question about what antivirus/internet security software runs the smoothest alongside WSA. I know that it can run just fine by itself, and I may do that eventually. But for peace of mind, I want to run it with something else for a while. I trialed it with Comodo Internet Security 6.0 a few weeks ago, but I received a BSOD every time I tried to open Comodo's Virtual Kiosk. Apparently, not compatible yet. I also run Malwarebytes Pro in realtime, and use Sandboxie. So what other programs do you all recommend from your experience that work well with WSA?
I want to know about the moderators or Webroot what to think of this action. I relied on that it is an action of Webroot and this enabled with the key, also ran today and then the protection is disabled and shared with me that the ABO has expired, sorry, I did not know that the ABO of yet about 225 days, turns off within 3 days. Now I want to know from you whether this action was or was Webroot Illegal? Now I stand without the antivirus. Good Morning! I continue to get these popup ads by quiknowledge as I work. I don't know how it got into my programs but I was able to remove it through my control panel and "uninstall a program". With that said, I continue to get the "popup" in my Google Chrome. Is there a way that I can get this stopped? Thanks! Phil
Brand new WSA user. Well, almost. I just purchased WSA after being a staunch freeware supporter for years! I haven't actually installed the software yet, but hope to be doing so tonight. I have not used a commercial AV in probably well over 5 years. I've been following WSA over at Wilder's for the past several months and I've really been impressed with the support offered over at Wilder's from both the WSA staff and the other WSA users. That tied with the fact that WSA is a Denver-based company and that I live literally an hour from them, I really wanted to support them. This is my first journey to these forums and I am just starting to get acquainted with the setup and structure. I'm sure that I will have tons of questions as I start this journey of using WSA.
I'm cddude from Iowa. I have use webroot for many years and have gotten several of my friends to use it also. I'm retired and on my PC many hours a day. I'm a sounding board for a lot of my golfing friends with computors. This year webroot's program did not overwite last years. So I had to delete it my self. I told Webroot people and they said they were working on that problem.Have not heard of the results. by for now.
I am retired, now a grandpa who knows little about how to correct problems with my computer. I hope that any with more knowledge than myself (that will be all of you) will have patience when trying to aid me with any questions I ask. I bought my laptop for one function only. That was the Skype function so I could see 4 of my granddaughters, my daughter & son-in-law when speaking with them They moved away because of job relocation. All my problems started for me as I try to learn different things each day.
Hi, I've just installed Webroot on a trial basis. While I've no experience of its abilities, the reviews I've read about it's intruiging methods and the general approach of the company have given me confidence. I've got a fairly low-spec machine running Win7 x64, so I started looking for a lightweight AV to replace Avira (and previously Avast) which seems too demanding on resources and intrusive in other ways. I asked a question of support and got a prompt, helpful answer even before I bought or installed, and that level of support means a lot, so I went ahead. Now to uninstall Avira...probably with Revo... I've also been having some curious issues with a rogue window popping up, ignored by AV scans (Avira and Malwarebytes, and now not considered a threat on the initial scan of Webroot either), so maybe the active process control utility might help with this kind of thing, and with Windows services jamming up the system from time to time (I should install more memory). Cheers, t

I'm a retired nerd... Glad to be part of this group. I got my first computer in 1982, a Coleco Adam. Boy was I cool! I've had my nose deep inside a computer ever since. My dad, who was a mainframe computer operator for the US Airforce, retired about the same time I got interested. He told me that (1980) we hadn't even scratched the surface of what computers were going to mean in our everyday lives and now, 37 years later, I can still say the same thing! Amazing! Hi, I have been using webroot for a few years now, and I'm wondering right now if anyone else gets the fake anti-virus software boxes that say you have a virus. I get one for Windows Security Essentials wanting to scan my computer I don't have that so know it is a fake. . Webroot does not pick them up. I'll do a scan, deep, quick and full and nothing comes up. I know this is an introduction forum...I'm old don't know much about pc's, but I have tried to keep on top of the virus, malware spyware thing by having the webroot. For the most part I don't worry, and only once a virus got through with Webroot...and that was probably my fault. These fake virus software things are a pain in the rear and I would expect Webroot to catch them but they aren't. Any suggestions? Thanks so much, Lola
Hello all, In one of the earlier versions of Spy Sweeper, we were able I initiate the System Optimizer (Window Washer) by right-clicking on the Notification Icon. Is it possible to add this to the notification context menu via the program settings? Thanks! Krieger-bot
Hello: My name is Tony and I am posting for the first time. I have just purchased Webroot SecurityAnywhere and my initial impression is it is a incredible piece of software!!!!! I have been working with computer since 1999 (when I purchased my first PC) and since than have worked with numerous antivirus software over the years. I must say that Webroot is second to none!!! To date I am a satisfied customer and very happy with the product. As for myself I am a musician play the sax and clarinet. When not playing music, I am constantly on the computer, enjoying posting and learning more each day about computer security and what new software's that are coming out Once again my hat off to all the staff at Webroot for outstanding software, great job well done.:D
Hi again everyone, Right off the bat I would like to say that I really do not have the time or energy to do what these guys and girls do here so my motivation in saying this is purely in appreciation of the friendly welcome and genuinely nice people here. I would liken this forum to the quality of Microsoft except that they are much faster in their replies, and again, much friendlier than most forums you may have heard of. There is nothing worse than a response to a question from someone that is condescending and talks to you as though you were a moron when you are already frustrated by a problem that you may need some advise on. You will not find that here. Not only are these guys nice but you will find them knowledgeable and fairly fast in response to your question or problem as I have. Just say hello and give 'em a chance... I promise you won't regret it! P.S. As an experiment I reloaded my page every 30 second
It's the ol WSA carnival barker back again after using Webroot for awhile now and I gotta say, this is a well thought out product!! I am an avid (old..as in years!) gamer and I have never seen an AV with this small a footprint. I mod a lot of games and other AV would cause crashes...NOT so with WSA! Protection?? You ask?? I have checked behind WSA just to see at first and nada...not even a trace of malware of any kind. While I know nothing is perfect and even the best can make mistakes, this is hands down the best of the best in so many ways.To the devs...I wish I had your talent...fantastic job!! I have found and you have found a customer and admirer for the whatever time I am here!! Getting a new pc, so I will contact about ANOTHER license :) Thanks again for a great product!
Win 8.1 Webroot 126.96.36.199 IE 11 in Sandboxie Webshield icons are grey on search pages. The icon message is, "Rating temporarily unavailable. We are working to restore service. No user action is necessary." Webshield icons are working in the following environments suggesting Win 8.1 + Sandboxie + IE11 has an issue. Webroot 188.8.131.52, Win 7, IE 11 in Sandboxie Webroot 184.108.40.206, Win 8.1, IE 11 Webroot Filtering is enabled in Manage Add-ons. Any suggestions? Support case opened but no response today so I'm hoping someone else has a solution. Since no others are reporting this issue it is probably something I'm doing wrong.
