Received webroot notify viber base.apk contains trojan virus. 1. Ran quarantine and deleted app. 2. Reinstalled viber via google play.. 3. Receieved same error 4. Ran quarantine and delete. According to google play, viber product was updated 26nov19. Uncertain if legitimate problem or discrepancy between webroot and viber. If actual problem, how do i resolve to reinstall app. Thanks in advance. Dj
I purchased Webroot about a week ago. Everytime I try to run a scan, my computer blue screens. The dump files don’t mean a whole lot to me but do confirm that WRSA.exe is the offending process. I’ve sent a couple of messages to Webroot support but have yet to hear anything back. Does anyone have any ideas of what may cause this or should I just ask for a refund?
Can't uninstall WSA when logged in as an administrator, Can't open the dashboard, Constantly requesting permission to make changes to computer
Hello,I have been having a large amount of issues with WSA recently. Over the last month I have probably uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times! My issues have varied between having WSA taking up an absurd amount of RAM, being unable to open WSA, and others. Everytime I boot up my computer, WSA asks to allow access to make changes to my computer. Every time I try to open WSA it asks to allow access to make changes, even if I had already said yes at startup. Now, I can't even get the app to open. I can't uninstall the app either because it doesn't recognize me as an administrator (I am logged in as an administrator, I've checked). The hours of availability for customer support are awful and I cannot be at my computer to be able to review the problems with them. Does anyone have any advice?
Firstly, thank you for attention to this. Well, some years ago my mother and I purchased laptops and got Webroot at the same time. Now I don't exactly remember the details of it all, but I've had it on auto-renew for her and I would just renew when the time came. So I eventually get a new card and forgot about the auto-renewal, and now it's showing a red icon in my tray since my mother's protection has lapsed. Now, she no longer uses her laptop, so I won't be renewing it....but is there a way to 'separate' our accounts so that I don't have to see it? Honestly it's a little confusing since it's TWO separate renewals. Even in the "PC Security" section, only my devices are shown. Is there anything I can do?
Hi there, we use barcode scanners to enter QC inspections. With webroot installed, the barcode scanners return random characters / strings. We do not have this issue on devices without Webroot installed. We can not continue to use Webroot with this issue. Any workaround? Thanks!
Hello I was checking my Windows 10 home pc using the Sysinternal Autoruns64.exe which check for registry items and found that the following registry key exist HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\WRCore but the file C:\Program Files\Webroot\Core\WRCore.x64.sys is missing ? What can cause this behavior ? I have uninstall and reinstalled webroot but to no avail? It still says that WRCore.x64.sys is missing I then check the folder C:\Program Files\Webroot and found that there is no sub folder C:\Program Files\Webroot\Core Could this registry key be caused by an old installation of Webroot?
I tried to install Webroot for home last Thursday. It never ran an install program, never asked for my Keycode I was given after purchase. An expired program installed, but the Keycode is different from the one that was given to me, and it won’t let me uninstall it. I have had memory problems ever since, and it causes my pages to open a little slower than normal. I have tried to contact Tech support, but am being ignored or they want me to activate a service console, but any new password I try to put in, it will not accept. Can anyone help with this, and is there an easier way to get in touch with Tech support? The phone numbers they have listed don’t work. I’m getting quite desperate now!
Webroot filtering extension with Firefox 67.01 and yahoo home page is not working says broken or not available at this time , started yesterday 6/8/2019 ,not sure how to fix this ?
A few days ago I noticed that my webroot subscription was about to run out, so I clicked the renew button in the webroot app and renewed it. I heard it could take a few days or even until the current subscription runs out. So far it’s been 2 days and it still says my subscription is about to run out, and when I look at the app again the renew button is gone. I don’t know if I’m missing something or if it’s supposed to take a long time to update.
Hello. I have had webroot secureAnywhere on my computer for about 6 months and it just started picking up infected files. With other programs, I have been able to see which files were infected, where they were located and also get info about them. With webroot, it just tells me that it has protected me from 6 files and it list the last one. Latest threat removed from your devices: Filename: MDX3DriverInstaller.exe Malware type: Win32.LocalInfect.2 Thanks Steve
I can no longer access the email address I used to create my account, and I forgot my Webroot password. So the “forgot password” link is useless since I will not receive the email with instructions to reset the password. I tried opening a support ticket, but it took six days to get a response, which was to call tech support. I tried that, but was on hold for more than an hour before giving up. So I have no access to the software. And when it auto renews later this year, I won't be able to stop it since I can’t access my account. What am I supposed to do to access my account?
Apologies if this has been discussed, I cannot find anything on it. We usually use https://webroot.mobiusworks.com/user/site_agreements for our ConnectWise integration, to sync users to agreements. However, now when I try to do a sync, mobius times out. Is there a new site that I need to visit to sync? Thank you.
When I login, the message that Windows Defender and Webroot SecureAnywhere are both turned off. When I run Webroot and start a scan, Webroot suddenly disappear. This is happening on a Surface running Windows 10 Home and on a Surface Pro running Windows 10 Pro. It doesn't occur on my desktop PC which is running Windows 10 Enterprise. I have seen this being reported 3 years ago. The fix suggested cannot be applied to the current version of Windows 10.
This is an ongoing issue and I’ve emailed support about it but it was not resolved. But I’m asking here in case there is a solution they did not suggest. Windows 10 Webroot SecureAnywhere 188.8.131.52 When I right click an exe or .zip I want to have scanned, Webroot is not there. To scan a single file, I have to open Webroot >PC Security >Scan and Shields >Custom Scan >Custom >Add File/Folder >Find the file >Scan File. That is a lot of work to scan one file. I enjoy the comfort of knowing a file is safe to run but I’m also lazy at times. The Advanced Settings >Scan Settings >Enable Right-Click Scan in Windows Explorer box is checked. I’ve uninstalled Webroot. Reinstalled. Made sure box was checked. No change. Unclicked box, rebooted, clicked it again, rebooted. No change. First noticed on new PC install. Problem exists on other PC laptop. Any other ideas?
