Unrecognizable Remote Address
Currently seeing strange remote addresses for some of my active connections ( e.g. 2607:f8b0:4004:832: ……..) and reflects the type (of connection) as TCP6. The application is HxTsr.exe, but have similar remote addresses for both the Winstore app and backgroundtaskhost.exe. That said, for these same applications / connections, I also have recognizable remote addresses ( eg 126.96.36.199:443 ) with the type of connection being TCP4. What is the difference and is there any need to be alarmed or any action that I should take to correct this? Thanks so much !Joseph
How to create report of Webroot protected endpoints?
Hi all, I may have overlooked somethign basic.... I want to email a list of hosts protected by Webroot to my client (he doesn't want to log into the console). Is it possible to generate a report of hosts with webroot installed, and export it to pdf of csv or somethign similar? I had a look in the reports tab but couldn't find a way of doing it. Cheers, Simon
Security for home, freelance and little business
Hello,First of all, I apologize in advance for my English.I am writing you to ask a question that seems very important to me.We often hear about companies and hospitals (for example) that have been hacked, or whose data is subject to ransonware. Is it possible to have information or maybe even a list of the security solutions that were used each time? For example, I would like to know whether Webroot has been able to protect its customers better than others? And which security solutions have failed the most? Some will answer that each case is unique and that everything depends on the configuration and the chosen parameters, but I would like to disregard this fact and just consider the automatic and pro-active effectiveness of the abovementioned security software.
Several games crashing with antivirus enabled displaying Clock Watchdog Timeout
Black Mesa, Stellaris, and a few other Paradox games will crash and freeze then a blue screen then Clock Watchdog Timeout will display. It does not do this for every game as I was able to play Grand Theft Auto 5 without issue. I checked my drivers, bios, and the temperature of my gpu and cpu, both stable in all games. When I turned off the antivirus, I was about to play all the games mention without issue for hours.
I received this email today from someone being a Hacker. Here is what the email says. Has anyone heard of this?

2 new processes
Hey guys this is my first post… After a Webroot update, task manager is showing 2 more processes , WRCoreService.x64 and WRSkyClient.x64.I know someone already posted about it but i still don’t have any info on those 2 and what they are for. Also as a customer who likes lightweight software, watching 2 extra processes from my AV without any info is not the best.I would love to see all those processes (4 in my case) grouped into 1. Cheers
Unable to Remove Webroot
I am trying to remove Webroot from my pc, however there is no option in the programs list, it keeps telling me to contact my network administrator, this is a personal pc, i’ve tried to remove it in safemode with networking, at this point idk what to do outside of wiping the system
What is "http://hargray.auth-gateway.net"?
Looking through my “passwords” stored on-computer, I find “.auth-gateway.net” - what is that? Safari has a warning by it for “too easy a password”. I find in my cookies a cookie from the website (my service provider) dot this gateway. It makes me nervous. Does anyone know what this is, and why is it in my machine?
Cannot Download Webroot on computer with expired Webroot version
Attempting to install new webroot license for 6 devices on a laptop that has an expired webroot software already on it. The install is coming from a webroot email to install on other devices. So, after clicking the link in the webroot email, selecting download to load webroot, it does not take you to input the key screen. Instead it takes you to a screen that says you already have webrrot and it is expired and you need to renew now with a price to buy another license. I do not want to do this. How do you get around this? Do you have to completely delete the expired version of webroot off the other computer and then attempt the download again? That seems not efficient. There should be a seamless handshake to do this. Can someone help me please? Thank you.
Phishing Inquiry via Email to Epson Printer
Dear Community, A couple weeks ago, I received an email directly to my Epson Printer, which came directly through, such as it was a fax or something, but I know the Sender used my Epson Printer email address to send it. On the message, they claim to have access to my key strokes on my phone internet browser, demanding that I send them money via Bitcoin. I never responded or did anything but just beef up my security software on my computers and mobile devices. Should I be concerned, or given they’ve only tried to contact me through my assigned Epson Printer email address, that would mean that they do not already have my other email addresses or details to be able to harm me digitally? Please advise.
Hi, I've ran the uninstaller in the control panel but it doesn't seem to have removed webroot. There is no "webroot" folder in program files. Instead, I have C:\Program Files\eEHyHVor. There are 2 files in "eEHyHVor". They are "lkfnejMY.exe" and "WRSkyClientConnect.x86.dll". There seems to be 1 service running "WRSVC". I'm not able to stop it.
Computer super slow after exactly 5 minutes of startup
For the last few hours now my computer has been acting extremely slow after exactly 5 minutes after being started up. Programs would take 10x the normal length of time to start and google searches were almost impossible. Viewing reliability history I saw the informational event “core” stating “Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: Core. Product Version: 1.2.1024. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Webroot. Installation success or error status: 0.” Seeing that this has been installed just an hour before the problems started I uninstalled Webroot and it fixed all my problems. I can confirm this has not just happened to my Pc. There is another pc I own that is protected by Webroot and had the same message in the reliability history. Sure enough at exactly 5 minutes after startup the computer starts acting like it has 200 viruses installed.I’m not sure if this has been mentioned before so I just wanted to state my experience. I haven’t tried reinstalling Webroot yet bu
Facebook tracking LastPass
I just discovered that Facebook app on my android phone was tracking my activity on the LastPass app.I find unacceptable that a company that provides security services allows an information hog like Facebook to intrude in something so sensitive. We pay for a service to keep our information private and secure, not to be used and sold. I cannot trust Webroot or Lastpass anymore, I had the software less than a month, how do I get a refund?

question about renewing
We renewed on line last night, and the payment to our card shows as pending. Today we are still getting the prompt to renew. The instructions said we did not need to download because we were a renewal customer. Is this correct? When will the prompt go away, and are we really renewed and covered?
