Every day it asks me to sign up for an account. I already have an account, but I can’t access it because the “forgot password” link does not work.. Also every day Windows asks me how I want to open this file, but it does not tell me what file, so I told it to use a text editor. It opened a file named program, which appeared to be an exe file. Windows complains about a file named program, which it says may keep some applications from working correctly. Clearly Webroot is AFU. Should I cancel my subscription and try a different product? I emailed support but got no response.
I have been a satisfied Webroot user since 2014.I renewed my subscription last year for another 3 years. But now every time I turn on my pc I get a popup:“Your New Keycode Has Been Activated” WHY?? WHAT IS GOING ON? How do I stop the popups? Is there a phone # for customer service? My old keycode from 2014 still shows when I bring up my desktop console.I have been unable to reach customer service.I did finally finally google “webroot customer support phone number”, but the number is for a scammer who told me the popup was evidence my router had been compromised and I should install UltraViewer on my PC so he could remote in and clean things up. (I hung up.)
Hi! I'm having an issue with Webroot where it seems to be turning itself off and on automatically. And all scans seem to be frozen or disabled, where it'll just say "0 files scanned" and processes "not scanned". The time elapses fine and continues changing as expected (1 second, 49 seconds, etc.) but nothing else changes during scanning.Last scan time and duration, on the other hand, keeps changing. It alternates between "last scan 1 day, 22 hours ago" with 4m 34s and "last scan 2 hours ago" with 2m34s duration. It only changes when I try to start a new scan or every few minutes, but keeps alternating between those two specific timestamps. (There is a third variation that now says it was last scanned <5 minutes ago, but still has the 2m34s length and still reverts to the other two)The number of total scans also keeps changing, from 1 to 3. No longer shows the 200+ scans.Next scan part of the menu alters between "Not scheduled" to "20 hours". I've also seen the phishing shield turn its

Hi all,The system analyse from Webroot Secure Anywhere reports f.e. a handle-leak(explorer.exe) with a system analyse from tools.Sometimes it occurs only while running a program. Running Microsoft Edge and Facebook together and closing these a scan also results in this message. After restarting the computer this is solved. How to improve my system? In my opinion these messages must be taking serious. Kind regards, Jan Florijn
How do I add sync folders?Knowledge Base
Question
How do I add sync folders in Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete?
Answer
Webroot configures one synchronization folder called the Anywhere folder already when it is installed. However, you can designate more folders for synchronization if you like. To add sync folders:

Open SecureAnywhere (see Using the SecureAnywhere interface). One of the coolest features of System Analyzer is that it finds system devices on your PC that were installed incorrectly. Specifically, it will tell you "Some system devices are not functioning properly and may need to be reinstalled." But WHICH programs are at fault? Here's how to find out. First, click on "View Full Report" at the bottom of your System Analysis. Adding a Keycode into a ConsoleKnowledge Base
This content has been reviewed and updated on February 18th, 2020. Question I purchased a new copy of Webroot instead of renewing my old one. When I installed it on my computers, the web console does not reflect the reinstallations. How do I get the online console to reflect that I am using a new keycode and that the computers are protected? Answer Log into your Account Console. Select the Keycodes tab. Click Add Product Keycode. Enter the new keycode in the Product Keycode field, and click Add. Once the new keycode exists in the console, the console will understand that it should start displaying that subscription data. Note: Currently, if you use the Password Management feature, support will need to assist you in this process to retain functionality beyond the expiration date of the original keycode. Please contact support for assistance in associating your account to the proper keycode.
Is your PC bloated with temp files? System Analyzer will tell you and SecureAnywhere can remove them

This is one of my favorite functions of WSA. It is so fast (less than two minutes) that I run it multiple times every day, with no interference. One of its features is disk cleanup, which is similar to Microsoft Windows disk cleanup, but this works faster. I wish this function had a disk defrag feature as well (I know I keep harping on this, but I really think it would be worthwhile and really wouldn't constitute bloatware). ;)
How to Use Backup & SyncKnowledge Base
If your SecureAnywhere edition includes Backup & Sync, you can protect your important files and photos as follows:

Storing files in the Anywhere folder or in your own sync folders. You can use Webroot's preconfigured folder called the Anywhere folder or you can create your own sync folders. Any files you place in these folders are automatically synchronized in your account, to any other computers with shared folders, and to mobile devices with the Backup & Sync app installed. SecureAnywhere constantly monitors the Anywhere folder and other sync folders. If it detects a change (an edited file, a new file, or a deleted file), it immediately makes the same change to your online account, to shared folders on other computers, and to mobile devices with the Backup & Sync app installed. If you are working offline, SecureAnywhere automatically picks up changes the next time you connect to the Internet. If SecureAnywhere detects an edited file, it does not ove

Syncing Folders with Other ComputersKnowledge Base
If you installed SecureAnywhere on multiple computers, you can create shared, synchronized folders between them. Whenever you update data in one of these shared folders (adding, editing, moving, or deleting files), SecureAnywhere automatically makes the same changes in your online account and to all shared folders. This automatic synchronization can be beneficial when you frequently use multiple computers and need access to the most recent files. Unless you disable synchronization on the Webroot Anywhere folder, it is always synchronized with all computers on the same SecureAnywhere account. The procedure below describes how to create additional synchronization folders. Note: Be aware that when you make changes to a folder on one computer, the changes are propagated across the synchronized folders on all computers in the account. For example, if you delete a synchronized folder from one computer, it is removed from all the computers.
Stopping File SynchronizationKnowledge Base
You can stop synchronizing the contents in a folder either by disabling it from the automatic synchronization process or removing the folder from the list. Note: Disabling folder synchronization or deleting it from the list does not delete it from your computer. To remove a folder from synchronization:

Open SecureAnywhere (see Using the SecureAnywhere interface). How to Back Up FilesKnowledge Base
Instead of synchronizing files, you can archive them instead. For example, you may want to back up tax returns, old photos, and a scanned copy of your passport. These types of documents won't change and don't need to be kept in synchronization with other computers. Your backed-up files are uploaded to secure Webroot servers, which are accessible from your SecureAnywhere account. You can run backups manually or follow the instructions in Creating a backup schedule to create an automatic backup schedule.
