Every day it asks me to sign up for an account. I already have an account, but I can’t access it because the “forgot password” link does not work.. Also every day Windows asks me how I want to open this file, but it does not tell me what file, so I told it to use a text editor. It opened a file named program, which appeared to be an exe file. Windows complains about a file named program, which it says may keep some applications from working correctly. Clearly Webroot is AFU. Should I cancel my subscription and try a different product? I emailed support but got no response.
I have received information regarding the software on my system:A large number of temporary files have been found (248MB - Windows/IE only) An active process has a possible memory leak (firefox.exe) An active process has a possible handle leak (Dropbox.exe).Should I be concerned? How do I go about resolving the issue? Thanks in advance!
Andriod platform will not show any info under app inspector, other than “security concern”. I pay for the FULL protection so this should be an option available. It does load the page, just no the apps.Help page says contact the forum, to get an email address where the logs can be sent to for review.Anybody know where I can EMail the log to?
I’m not sure about renewing Webroot, but all my passwords are on my webroot-LastPass account. Wouldn’t want to lose any of that! So, what happens to my webroot-LastPass account if my webroot subscription expires? Can I just subscribe to LastPass directly?
I have been a satisfied Webroot user since 2014.I renewed my subscription last year for another 3 years. But now every time I turn on my pc I get a popup:“Your New Keycode Has Been Activated” WHY?? WHAT IS GOING ON? How do I stop the popups? Is there a phone # for customer service? My old keycode from 2014 still shows when I bring up my desktop console.I have been unable to reach customer service.I did finally finally google “webroot customer support phone number”, but the number is for a scammer who told me the popup was evidence my router had been compromised and I should install UltraViewer on my PC so he could remote in and clean things up. (I hung up.)
Can Not Use Webroot On Laptop Or Desktop Computers Using Windows 10 And Windows Defender Antivirus Software
Good Day,I have had an issue for months regarding using Webroot on multiple computers that run Windows 10 and Windows Defender Antivirus Software. I can no longer use Webroot on these devices.Windows Defender is the only Antivirus Software I can use. Webroot will no longer open & I can not turn it on exclusively run as my Antivirus of choice or with Windows Defender. I have even tried to re-download the installer and it will not execute it. Please let me know if there is a solution to resolve this issue with using your software. Thank you.
So first off I have the receipt on my email for my most current purchase of Webroot this was back in I think November. I forgot my password and I am going on 3 hours of no email to the email account to reset password. Webroot isn’t blocked, and its not going to spam or any other folders. This is an issue because Windows defender decided to activate its self sometime in the last 2 months and turn my webroot off and now not only am I unable to get defender to shut off permanently, I can’t get webroot to uninstall using command prompt, run command or other means, I cant get it to open or turn back on. And when I redownload it I also can’t get it to run from the downloaded folder. (this is the only thing that wont run when I download) Not sure what to do at this point suggestions would be great!
I am running Webroot Secure anywhere on several PCs several of which remain WIN7 machines. On one in particular I cannot access the Webroot interface or remove the program (or contact tech support) makes me think it’s time to look elsewhere for PC protection.First, I see no evidence the program is running at all except for a webr32 service (may have the name wrong as its from memory). Attempting to run the program conventionally from start menu yields nothing at all. I tried re-installing with the same result. Even more frustrating attempting to uninstall (as administrator) yields the message “ you must run as an administrator to uninstall” or words to that affect.Even MORE FRUSTRATING is trying to contact tech support, being required to login again, then getting the message that:We have already had contact with: ~ Snip Private information (email) ~ PTDPlease enter your password below if you wish to continue with your previous conversation. Hi! I'm having an issue with Webroot where it seems to be turning itself off and on automatically. And all scans seem to be frozen or disabled, where it'll just say "0 files scanned" and processes "not scanned". The time elapses fine and continues changing as expected (1 second, 49 seconds, etc.) but nothing else changes during scanning.Last scan time and duration, on the other hand, keeps changing. It alternates between "last scan 1 day, 22 hours ago" with 4m 34s and "last scan 2 hours ago" with 2m34s duration. It only changes when I try to start a new scan or every few minutes, but keeps alternating between those two specific timestamps. (There is a third variation that now says it was last scanned <5 minutes ago, but still has the 2m34s length and still reverts to the other two)The number of total scans also keeps changing, from 1 to 3. No longer shows the 200+ scans.Next scan part of the menu alters between "Not scheduled" to "20 hours". I've also seen the phishing shield turn its
What happens when i got a BACKUP folder of my whole d: drive and a file is being deleted on my local hard drive?I do not sync any files, only simple backup. If i delete file from original location, would online storage still contain it or not?Which way can i compare and delete files that are already deleted on local disk D: - is there any marker? If there is no marker i will just review local files and re-push 15GB every week, which is not nice for your transfer and my time. -Should i sync instead? If the backup is ‘incremental only with no markers or history’ it would be nice to know by the manual. Another thing i’ve noticed - .reg files are excluded due to ‘System and hidden file’ rule. Many people store registry exports in such files as documents… Maybe .reg is not that much ‘system file’?TIA

Hi there Just a random Q here, when purchasing the software, the extra Software CD is that necessary? I have a laptop with no cd drive, but I figure it would be for desktops later on for extra users. So, is it a physical cd or just the software download? Just want to find out if I should get the extra Software CD or not. Hope this makes sense lol. Thanks
Hi all,The system analyse from Webroot Secure Anywhere reports f.e. a handle-leak(explorer.exe) with a system analyse from tools.Sometimes it occurs only while running a program. Running Microsoft Edge and Facebook together and closing these a scan also results in this message. After restarting the computer this is solved. How to improve my system? In my opinion these messages must be taking serious. Kind regards, Jan Florijn
After installing Webroot, I was no longer able to access Google Chrome. I added chrome.exe as “allow” under PC Security which now lets me open a chrome browser. However, I am not able to access any links in Microsoft Outlook. I’m not even able to access the “Visit User Guide” or “Learn More” in the Webroot app itself. The cursor just spins for a moment then ….nothing. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
