Questions About a Webroot Product? Start Here!
Hi, there. I have opened up a case with Webroot support, but I thought I'd post something here as well. Has anyone noticed the latest version of Webroot SecureAnywhere for Mac (126.96.36.199: 775) scanning mounted drives (ie...Time Machine Backups) regardless of the "Scan mounted drives" setting in Advanced Settings --> Scan options being unchecked? I have tried removing and reinstalling both the traditional way (shutting down SecureAnywhere and dragging the application to the trash prompting the uninstall) and through the terminal (sudo /usr/local/bin/WSDaemon -u ). Has anyone else noticed this? I have three High Sierra Macs all doing the same thing. It started with this version of SecureAnywhere. Just curious...
at this time An established connection is not broken with Active Connections for firefox.exe moved to Block. And a new connection for firefox.exe (calling Firefox) is not prevented (Firefox call lands on my homepage and other pages and is fully facing the net) with Active Connection for firefox.exe at Block. Just me? Thanks

I've been having this error in google chrome since 2 weeks ago when there was an update for the browser. Error code: ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR People say it's related to the new SSL modifications google is doing. People on other forums are saying to disable SSL scanning in anti virus software from another brand and I do not see this option in Webroot. There was someone that didn't have the other brand was mentioned and they had yet another brand that had the same issue. Anyone here on Google chrome that has this error?
I notice IE11 is now listed in Windows Updates as "important". I currently have IE9 on Windows 7 64bit. I do not have a touch screen and use keyboard/mouse to navigate web etc. Does WSA work with it, ie as regards safe search ticks etc, and is it worth upgrading to IE 11 in the first place? George

i have no problem getting online and accessing my account, but i have lost control over the webroot program on my system due to some sort of password problem. i can not make any changes whatsoever in the way the program behaves because i keep getting a "The password entered was incorrect." error message, this also affects the webroot toolbar in my browser as i can not access it either. Please help! Thank you for your time and consideration. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated!
When using the password managagement feature I want to be able to type in a site and have it log me in automatically without having to click the autofill popup. If I check the password section of the mywebroot console, the sites I want to auto login to have the boxes checked for automatic fill and automatic login. Is there a way to do this without clicking the autofill button at every login page?
Hey guys. Love Webroot and push it hard at work (bestbuy). I installed it on all my machines/phones/tablets. One thing I noticed since I installed on my desktop is that I am having trouble fully loading a lot of web pages - not all pages, but quite a few. It is only after I hit the refresh button that the page will fully load. It does not seem to be a cache issue, as it will happen on the same pages repeatedly. I do know that it has only started happening since I installed the software, and I haven't changed/installed anything else on my system since that might be causing it. Any ideas? Are there settings I can tweak? Thanks for any help.
Hi, folks, My site records aren't always getting correctly stored when I generate a password and save it via the Passwords toolbar. So when I create or modify a site record, I log out of the site, close the window, then go to Passwords in the WSA console to inspect the site record, launch and test. The hitch is that the console doesn't update after I create or update a site record. Every time I make a change via the toolbar, I have to kick the console in the head to get the site data to refresh. Because I haven't found a better way, I use the browser controls to refresh, and that means I have to reauthenticate. That is a pain if I have to do a string of tweaks to get a site record right. How can I get the Passwords console page and toolbar to play together better? Thanks, LauraB (edits: grammar and duplicate signatures)
Hi, The website was blocked by WSA. I knew this was a clean site but wasn't sure as sites are comprimised often. So is this a FP? Or is the site okay? Best Wishes, Amit
1. I've had WSA IS installed for about a month or so. I'm just learning about using it. However, I couldn't pass up the NewEgg deal of 5-user WSA Complete. Can I add on this new license to my current license even though they are different versions? If not, should I update with the new license key or just hold off until my current license expires? 2. I purchased the 5 -user license for my family members. I talked my son into reluctantly installing WSA. But, it apparently caused a problem for him and now he's mad at me. The problem it apparently caused is related to WinAmp. A quote from his was "I'm not impressed with it deleting all my playlists and preferences in Winamp." Does anyone have any experience with this and/or why it happened or what to do about it?
I ran something that turned out to probably be a trojan by allowing it once because I trusted the software which was probably really stupid, I ended up using webroot to remove it. Is it too late for my computer now even though it's removed? Do I need to essentially reformat clean my pc? Scan shows nothing, but still I guess in theory just because the trojan generator is gone it could still be running what ever it put on my computer right? I'm ignorant when it comes to this stuff.
Hello everyone. It's been awhile.I noticed while navigating to www.adobe.com that i now get a notice saying the site contains malicious content and then the buttons to block or allow.I opted to just close the window to be safe.Has anyone else encountered this issue? Thanks for your time
Hello all, I'm fairly new to Webroot. I had a couple of questions on what is needed to recover a system that is hit by Ransomware. Sorry, I've searched until i'm sick of looking for answers. I decided to try posting my questions instead. If there is a guide for this already, can someone please point me in the right direction? Say I get hit with Ransomware and my entire system is encrypted and no longer usable. 1. What steps do I need to do at that point? 2. Do I need to log into my.webrootanywhere.com/ from another PC and try to recover my system? 2. What information do I need to provide to Webroot support for them to try to remotely restore the system? Basically I want to create an "emergency recovery kit" with details on recovery steps, Webroot contact information, my account info., etc. I want to keep this information external to my computer so that if it goes down, I have all the information ne
I find that Password manager doesn't work on ANY browser! Am I wrong?? I even tried the tip that I found of rolling my firefox browser back to previous version, with no luck. (Originally I used Chrome) When will this be fixed? I cannot even access my passwords AT ALL!!! NOT HAPPY.
