The worst customer service I have ever had
I am just writing this post to let my anger out. I renewed my licence a few weeks ago and got the new code, entered it on the sofware and everything went fine like It had alwas been since two years ago. I mean, I was happy because I had no need to contact customer support. Then the Password Manager unexpectedly ceased to work and tried to reach customer service. Firs I had to go over a thousand web pages of Knowledge Base, not a single article addressed my problem and then whenever I hit the "Talk to Us" or "Generate a Ticket" or something I was taken to my console where everything started all over again. I erased history, even changed browser, uninstalled and installed again the sofware and nothing happened. Tried to call but the phones that I found were for bussiness people not mere mortals like me. Miraculously I found a page where I could as for a refund. I entered the invoice number and voila! PayPal said that I received a refund in seconds! That´s

Webroot not updating
Hi, the last couple of days I’ve been paranoid that I might have a virus on my computer. Even though Webroot said everything was fine a part of me didn’t trust it so I looked up the latest update and realized my version of webroot is only at 188.8.131.52 while the latest update is 184.108.40.206. Every time I click check for updates I get the notification that everything is up to date. This might be a side thing but I also noticed on the version I had installed that it says Copyright 2006-2020. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it. Could someone please help me out?
software development with Webroot SecureAnywhere
I recently installed Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus on two of my software development machines (Windows 10 Pro, Microsoft Visual Studio Community Edition 2019, C/C++ console programs, NMAKE, one test executable per module). Now my build scripts are failing because multiple compiled executables are being flagged, even when they are added to the allowed files list in the “Block/Allow Files” tab.It seems that every time an executable is linked, it’s considered a “new” file that must be scanned and then suppressed. Even if I allow the program, it’s too late - the build has been aborted with the message “NMAKE : fatal error U1045: spawn failed : Permission denied”.I’ve also tried adding the code directories to the “Whitelisted Scripts” tab to no avail. How can I, as a software developer, make Webroot SecureAnywhere work for me?Thanks in advance.
Support Numbers not working
Hi Could I please confirm the correct support number we are to call from Australia for support with Endpoint Protection? As per https://www.webroot.com/us/en/business/support/contact I have dialed 1 800 848 307, selected option 1 (the only option) and get informed the number is invalid / incomplete. My collegue over the last month has tried every number he can find for Webroot support online, and none of them connect. HE even tried the overseas number with no luck. Could you please confirm. Marty
How to add a file or a folder to exclusions?
Hello, I am trying to add either files or folders as exclusions in the webroot secure anywhere software. How do I do that? It seems like it was added in 2015 according to this forum post, but I can't find the feature: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Product-Questions/how-to-set-file-and-folder-exclusions-in-the-webroot-console/td-p/189775 Thanks.
Won't launch, cant uninstall
Windows 10. Webroot won't launch. Can't uninstall to reinstall via Control Panel, Settings, or Administrative command line -uninstall switch. Get persistent "you must be logged on as administrator" message. Am logged on as administrator. Same problems in safe mode. Suggestions, please? Webroot Stole Administrator Rights
I recently had a long issue with uninstalling Webroot where unless using an -uninstall prompt, the software had no offer to uninstall. Then Later when trying to wipe the software’s files it left on the computer (pretty much everything except the .exe file) I ran into the issue of Webroot claiming I do not have system rights despite I being the only user as well as an administrator account. I have attempted taking ownership of the leftover files but nothing has happened besides the software posthumously refusing to leaf (haha) my hard drive. This is a very unique issue ive come across which ive only seen in virus software which even then I had some success of removing. Please may someone help me obliterate these files off my computer so I may have a neat install of Windows 10, Thank you and Sunday’s Blessings.
Windows Defender and Webroot
Hello everyone,,I'm curious on what others are doing with Windows Defender on Windows 10 if Webroot (or any other A/V's for that matter) is installed (and I want to Webroot to be the main/only A/V) ? If "best practice" is to turn off Webroot, how are you all doing this with your RMM (disable ALL Windows Defender related services, something else ?)

Does My Version of WSA have Anti-Spyware?
Since I have an account at Ally Bank, I get a free version of WSA. But, I can’t find any information as to whether or not it includes anti-spyware. Under the Identity Protection tab, it just shows Identity Shield and Phishing Shield. I don’t see anything about anti-spyware. How do I know if I have this?
I have been getting a message on my browser that indicates I have a virus. It locks my browser and provides a phone number to call. The phone number is: 855-828-0990. It states that the number is to Microsoft. The technition then requests access to my computer. Is this lagit?

WinRing0_1_2_0 continues to be identified
Hello, for the second time WinRing0_1_2_0 has come up as a rootkit. How do I tell if it really is since 2 other programs have not identified it? Last time I went down the rabbit hole and uninstalled it, then WebRoot continued to identify different files that were rootkits. After the 6th removal task (and a couple hours) I gave up and just used a disk image from a week prior and the problem did not return until today, approximately a month after the last time.
