Unblocking a web page it's impossible sometimes
Hello. The web filter IMHO is way too picky. I come from several years of experience with Norton, and making a comparison the web filter of WSA gives warnings many more times than I was used with Norton. Sometimes I am in doubt, maybe the filter is right, but sometimes I get warnings for domains which should be safe. And what is worse is that sometimes it's even impossible to unblock the page that one want to access. For instance this site: http://www.ilsole24ore.com/ it's the Italian equivalent of the Wall Street Journal, so it's should be a trusted site, isn't it? I asked to the support desk, weeks ago, they said that the results of the filter are correct (!?). However there are videos published here that I cannot access even if I click on “unblock page and continue”! (I must disable the filter in order to see them.) In any case isn't this something that should be corrected?
BestBuy Webroot Renewal process
Last year I complained about the BestBuy Webroot renewal process. It goes pretty much like this: Your Webroot security panel turns Yellow 30 days before the expiration. There is a link to renew. But even if you click it and enter your credit information it will make no difference in what will transpire. I know. I've been through this at least 5 or 6 times. As your deadline approaches, you will start to get renewal notices...even though you've already clicked on the link and said you want to renew...and even if BestBuy has sent you an email saying that they will renew your subscription with the card they have on file. During the last week you will start to get more urgent prompts warning you that your subscription is about to expire and renew now (even though you already said you wanted to.) Finally your panel will turn red and it will say that it is expired. If you call the Geek Squad, they will say that you are still protected. That there is a
I don't need a tutorial on how to use Webroot's Block Allow Files. In short, when I add a particular executable to Webroot's allow list, Webroot displays that executable as being in a directory that no longer exists on my computer. This might be confusing because I blotted out certain directory and executable names for privacy, just bare with me please. After I click to add a file in webroot, this is the directory I navigate to, and the executable is selected. After I hit open, the block/allow files page shows up looking like this, with the bottom file supposedly being the one I've just added. The directory that webroot is pointing to doesn't even exist on my computer anymore, it's pointing to the folder that executable was originall in when I d
Chrome Extension not showing up in Chrome store
I have had to reinstall Chome... again. I downloaded it via IE (v. 10) and the Webroot extensions were not working, weren't displayed normally, in fact, no extensions were. So eventually I un-installed it, and then downloaded it from Firefox this time. This time, Chrome seems to be working right ... the extensions showed up and I enabled them. Before when they did not, I went to the application store, or whatever its called, to find the Webroot extensions, and they were not listed; the only one listed is something I have not seen before, a Webroot Reputation extension, which is provided by brightcloud. So. What happened to the extensions in the Chrome store? And this other one > what is this one, and is it legit?
my pc is acting wierd
I am on my ACER ASPIRE V5-122P-0880 laptop.(Besides Webroot, I have SANDBOXIE to keep as much malware out as possible). It took over 13 minutes to get to this WEBROOT COMMUNITY site to ask this question. My PC is SLOW. It ignores my "clicks". When I try to read my emails (gmail.com), it takes it's time getting to them; it lists my emails, but won't let me access them (yet!), first it tells me "SOMETHING IS WRONG", THEN IT FOLLOWS THIS WITH, "HAVING TROUBLE ACCESSING GOOGLE", then after a few moments it allows me to access my emails. During any activity, it takes at least 5-7 seconds to respond to selections (clicks). It takes (sometimes) as much as 32 seconds to come up with frequently used websites, when other days those websites responded "immediately". It frequently comes up with a message that the websites certificate is outdated, or invalid. Generally speaking, it gives me headaches and I keep thinking it's infected. But Webroot keeps scanning it and find
Backup & Sync crashes on Windows 10
I cannot access the settings for Backup and Sync on Windows 10. It has worked a few times in the past but now when I hit the gear icon to get into settings it just closes. I can reopen the console and everything works but the gear icon for Backup and Sync. Nothing but closing. Any ideas?

Web Threat Shield not working with Sandboxie
I just did a test today with both malwaretips.com and malware domain lists. When I use Chrome with Sandboxie, the Web Threat Shield does not block infected URLs. But when I use only Chrome, it does block them (very well I might add). I tested this on two different PCs with WSA. Anyhow, possible bug or is this normal that Sandboxie is not allowing Chrome to access WSA Shields?
Windows Updates Cause BSoD on 2 Win. XP Computers
I  Patch Tuesdays. Computer #1 Downloaded MS updates. While installing updates on the 4th update I got a BSoD and had to shut down. Started computer and installed the remaining updates. (12 updates total). I'm running Backup & Sync on this computer. Check Backup & Sync before doing updates and both were on. After the BSoD, Sync was turned off. Running WSAC Beta on this computer. Computer #2 On my second XP machine all MS updates downloaded. After hitting the restart to install button seen BSoD. Computer restarted. All updates were successful (8 updates total) MS warning window popup about the BSoD. Running WSAC 188.8.131.52 on this computer. Sending Support Ticket and Logs on Computer #1. Looks like WSA blocked process from accessing protected data; C:Program FilesMicrosoft HardwareMouse. As for the Sync on computer #1, I know how to turn it back on but I'll leave it off until hearing from Support. No problems with MS Upda
I din't htink I would be back so soon after two posts about things that were resolved and neither turned out to be WRA problem. This one I feel like I owe it to report. I don't know how I could have been so stupid, but I got an email telling me someone had changed the settings on my Amercan Express account and to click the link if this wasn't true. I scratched my head and clicked the link, but here is why I have to report it, it was Avast that popped up telling me I was hit with a Trojan Horse Here is the link to the Avast web page that I got by way of going to the links within my Avast program: &p_prc=C:]http://www.avast.com/en-us/lp-pr-virus-alert?p_ext=&utm_campaign=Virus_alert&utm_source=prg_ise_70_0&utm_medium=prg_systray&ut
File path and type of outgoing program
My WSA Complete recently updated to the new version and one of the first things I saw after turning on the computer was this: Unfortunately I was unable to view the full file path or even the file name or type to make an informed decision. Even after clicking on event details I don't remember seeing either, though I don't have a screenshot of it. Is there a way to view the full file path and file type from this warning? Another issue I have seen is that when viewing the execution history and then clicking the more information button, the persistent event details area flashes 3 or 4 times per second when the cursor is not placed in that area.
Generate Secure Password
I am unable to generate any secure passwords. I followed the instruction on the Password User Guide. When I click inside the password field, the Generate Secure Password dialog does not pop up. And yes I am logged on. If I open it from the Webroot Icon in my toolbar guide, it will come then come up, but only give me the option to Copy and not Accept. I'm assuming this will only work with a new user registration since previous registered websites I have already created a password, I tried to register on a new site and I got the same results. I realize the manual says if it doesn't open automatically you must do it from the toolbar. Is there something I am not understanding or doing correctly? I have no problems with adding websites that I have previously registered on. :(
Just a Question, no real concerns, just curious....
I read in annother posting on the community site that someone had found an issue with the shutdown procedure on pcs after installing webroot. I, too, have that "issue", but although it is a bit of an annoyance sometimes, it is not really an issue for me. I was, however, wondering if there has been any "resolution", or "fix" as it were, to this issue. If so, it would be nice to know. If not, again, it is not anything with which I am overly concerned. Merely curious.
I just renewed my WSA Complete and it was suppose to be for 5 PC's for one year at a special price. When I received the email with the invoice, it stated that it was only for three PC's for a higher price. I called sales back and they corrected the payment amount and number of PC's that I could protect, but the new email invoice only showed the corrected price and nothing about the number of PC protection that I was suppose to get. Is there a way to verify how many PC's I am paying for to protect or do I have to call to find out?
First keystroke (missing character) still not working (dutch version 184.108.40.206)
First is keystroke still not working in both Firefox and Chrome in dutch version 220.127.116.11. This issue is not resolved after 2 months'time. Biggest problem with this is that protection against bad websites is not working properly on first missing keystroke. This means that anybody with dutch version is not fully protected. I would suggest to give this issue a higher priority. Regards
Conduit and friends
Alright, so I am a tech at a local shop and we have not came across a virus or really any kind of issue we wasn't able to fix. Now I have four computers in my house, two of which have Viper and I have it set pretty moderate as they are gaming rigs and used for after hours support. The other two are laptops, one with webroot running full blast and it seems to do rather well minus one thing.... That one got conduit on it about five days after my girlfriend which I know her habits and have set up her protection accordingly, took possession of it. Webroot missed about everything which I understand since its technically not a virus its just like the hemorrhoids of computers. But why is it that once I started removing it after I got down to I believe two last .dll's that it finally noticed it? I'm a firm believer in web root but that to me was kind of a low blow to not cover, is there any chance you guys could patch that up? Because normally it comes along with something that was meant to be
If I add another 1 year keycode will it be added to my current 67 days?
I just bought another year of lic and I would like to add the code into my current account which has 67 days left on the subscription. I want to add the code now, before I misplace it so while it's still fresh on my to-do list. The question is: If I add the new code then will the 365 days be added to the 67 days so I will have 432 days of subscription or will it reset the 67 days so I would have 365 days from today?

Lock vs. Green Circle
Hello All! This is by no means an urgent or pressing issue, just my curiosity and my desire to know every aspect and functional detail of the things I use, whether it be my computer, smart phone, TV, new gadget, or, in this case, WSA. I have noticed that in the "My Pictures" folder that I have synced to the cloud with Webroot that some of the pictures have a small lock in the corner and some have the green circle with arrows in it. All are correctly backed up and show up in my web console, but I'm just curious, what is the difference between the two icons? I've Googled this question and have searched the forum here but have been unable to find an answer. Many thanks to you all. I'm really learning a lot from you guys. I will try my hardest to pay it forward.;) Regards, BD
Unable to track down keycode
Hi folks! I seem to be in all sorts of bother.. Firstly my Samsung Galaxy Note decided to keep going round in circles to the Unlock Screen claiming an MTP error. One forum recommended removing all Device Administrators in Settings. This included removing the Webroot SecureAnywhere Administrator. I tried to do this but got into another loop of going round in circles. Now the Unlock Screen is looking for a password but won't accept any of my standard passwords. I assume it is the Webroot SecureAnywhere Administrator password it requires, but if I had set this, I would have used a standard password. The device is now stuck on this Unlock Screen and nothing I offer seems to satisfy it. I thought I might be able to access the phone via Webroot's online system, but this is also unavailable to me. Before I can register to use it, I have to provide my keycode which I cannot find. I tried to use Webroot's resend keycode routine but that failed to recognise my email address even thou
