Hello All,I’ve used Webroot Secureanywhere for about 4 years now. Recently, after Windows 10 updated to KB4023057 and KB5005611, my Webroot shortcut disappears off the screen, and the whole program disappears off my list of programs. I run the installer, which is still in my downloads, and it won’t run/open. When this first happened a few days ago, after researching for a solution for hours, I ran all my antivirus programs such as Malwarebytes and Superantispyware, and they found nothing. So, I did a system restore in safe mode to get rid of the two new updates, and my Weboot came back and worked no problem….anyone have any ideas? Oh, its a HP laptop, Intel i7-7700 2.8ghz, 12gb RAM, 128gb SD drive, and a 1 TB standard, high speed hard drive, Intel HD graphics, and a GEOForce GTX video card….4 years old….
How do I get the terms screen to stop appearing? I press the “agree and continue button” then 20 minutes later it asks again for me to accept the terms. This happened after my subscription expired and it was renewed, was this screen started appearing! When I'm doing things on my computer the screen appearing again and again gets annoying.I press agree and continue, 20 minutes later this screen came back!
I am using Webroot 126.96.36.199: 1607 on my MacBook Pro. However, I continue to get the brown (!) and “Product Update Available” message. When I click the “Update Now” button, nothing happens. What’s wrong, and what should I do? I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice but the problem persists.
Reliability monitor showing error message for CORE (webroot) dozens of times a day, bluescreens, crashes.
“Windows Installer reconfigured the product. Product Name: Core. Product Version: 1.2.1043. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Webroot. Reconfiguration success or error status: 1603.”I have already tried to delete the folder WRData, it has not resolved the issue. My PC runs 24hrs, so this disrupts active processes. I cannot have this happening.
I recently purchased a new Dell laptop (9/20/21), running Windows 10. (Soon to run Windows 11 when that is available.) Since installing Webroot (the first thing I did) upon booting up this PC, I have had issues with Google Chrome. Google Chrome won’t launch - unless it is launched from the Start menu immediately after boot-up is complete. When I am successful in getting Chrome to launch, if it is closed, it will not re-launch unless the PC is restarted and Chrome is the first app launched. I have followed the instructions on the web re: Chrome won’t launch: uninstalling/re-installing Google Chrome several times, followed by system restarts. These only result in a temporary fix, as once Chrome is closed, it will not re-launch. As a general rule, I try not to remain connected to the Internet longer than necessary. I followed the instructions in the Webroot support area, and when Chrome is running it shows that it is an active connection. When Chrome is closed, it does not show
Webroot was initially installed by Best Buy on my MacBook Pro and is running fine. How do I get it installed on my iPhone and iPad? It recently showed up on my iPhone but I can’t get it activated as it does not seem to recognize either my username or password. I know absolutely I am using the correct username and password which is the same as I used here now on my laptop.

So today I shut down webroot (so i could get higher fps in roblox) and then when i was done, I turned off my computer and turned it back on later. Windows defender said webroot is on snooze, i clicked turn on and because I do not know the pin (I am not the admin) I didn’t type it in and webroot opened anyway, though windows still says it is snoozed, don’t want my dad to get on the computer and have to explain to him “I turned off the antivirus so I can get higher fps in games” is there anyway I could get rid of this on windows defender without using the pin?
MacBook Pro has had problems and is running slow after webroot install. Webroot had a yellow warning triangle with exclamation point. When I run the Webroot scan, how do I find what the results tell? How do I find the devices that are not functioning in order to fix them? This is one thing that I find frustrating about Webroot. It scans, but never gives enough information to fix the issues found.
Good Day - I have been extremely frustrated with a Homeseer home automation program that I have run for several years without problem. About a week ago Webroot started to flag a Plug-in program (HPSI_UPBSpud.exe) as being infected with a WIN32.Localinfect.2 virus. Webroot is the only detection program in Virus Total that is flagging this file as malicious. I didn’t realize at first that Webroot had quarantined the file and spent a long time trying to figure out what had happened. Finally after “allowing” the file in Webroot I am back to my baseline with my home automation. I simply wanted to report it here as it looks like a false positive. Thanks for reading.
Use a mac pro and we have a pop up screen that says service record and or Receiver helper Seems this is malware but weboot does not identify web says it is an extension on safari but it does not show in extensions Need for it to go away No did not click on to but it is a pain
This link mentions that Secure Anywhere Endpoint Protection can “Lock down ports and devices such as USB, CD and DVD Drives” - We’re looking to possibly wanting to lock down USB Storage devices from being access on our machines. How/where can I configure this in our Webroot Policy? http://wrpolska.pl/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/WSA.pdf
Hi all,I am fairly new to webroot management. I want to know if there is a possible way to find out the history of updates on the webroot software for end users device as well as for the updates on the admin portal. I have access to webroot admin console. Any suggestions are helpful.Thanks.
What happens when i got a BACKUP folder of my whole d: drive and a file is being deleted on my local hard drive?I do not sync any files, only simple backup. If i delete file from original location, would online storage still contain it or not?Which way can i compare and delete files that are already deleted on local disk D: - is there any marker? If there is no marker i will just review local files and re-push 15GB every week, which is not nice for your transfer and my time. -Should i sync instead? If the backup is ‘incremental only with no markers or history’ it would be nice to know by the manual. Another thing i’ve noticed - .reg files are excluded due to ‘System and hidden file’ rule. Many people store registry exports in such files as documents… Maybe .reg is not that much ‘system file’?TIA
I am having trouble finding the instructions about the enterprise App for Webroot Security Awareness Training. I have it installed, and can sync users, but at this time I hid it from users because I do not know what it does, or how to configure. Please direct me to instructions..
Starting sometime late last year, every time I do a scan with WR first a popup says “Do you want (this program) to make CHANGES on your computer?” I click no; I only want it to scan for malware. Why am I asked this? For years it would just scan and report. Second, after each scan (which incidentally is far SHORTER that a year ago, showing less than half as many files scanned as before… and taking a fraction of the time) it says “No threats found” - then at the end of the list of findings in the report the entire frame goes red and one item (also in red...) states “An antivirus program is installed but not protecting your computer”. I click on the message with no response. But when I click on the (?) icon it directs me to a startup page whereby I can PURCHASE Webroot! WHAT is going ON with this system? Most or all these changes have appeared in less than the past year despite my memembership self-renewing just months ago. ...And all this AFTER being told MS was no longer supporting m
I just renewed my subscription a few hours ago (I was without it for a few months) because my safari would use yahoo search engine instead of google. i looked it up to see why it was doing that and it said that it was a malware virus. so I renewed it and when I went to scan for any viruses it said that it was clean but safari is still using yahoo search engine instead of google.
